Account Executive

Successful candidate will have agency and marketing experience preferably in pharma (though not required), excellent time-management skills, strong organizational skills with attention to detail and quality, as well as stellar verbal and written communication skills.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Driving tactical projects through agency processes and ensuring projects work through appropriate channels and meet requirements/deadlines by working closely with internal teams
  • Responsible for day-to-day client contact, developing strong and effective working relationships with clients and account teams
  • Support project managers and strategic planners

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, or communications
  • 2+ years in pharma advertising or related industry/internship experience a plus
  • Solid understanding of trafficking projects at an agency
  • Proven ability to communicate with clients and staff at all levels
  • Proactive team player with a strong work ethic

Account Supervisor

The Account Supervisor’s role is to demonstrate executional excellence while overseeing all phases of tactical development on the brand, including application of strategic direction.  This person will serve as the day-to-day point of contact for internal and external team members.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a day-to-day client contact on assigned accounts under the guidance of the VP/AGS and SVP
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of product/category including key studies and competitive data
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with departments and personnel on the client side
  • Fosters team spirit and maintains positive momentum for the brand/client within the agency
  • Ensures timely follow-up for projects/programs; oversees regular status meetings with agency and client
  • Maintains a high level of professionalism with clients, outside vendors, and agency staff at all times
  • Oversees financial documentation: monitors estimates/invoices, reviews tracking reports
  • With consultation of VP/AGS, fiscally manages the brand (eg, income forecasting and profitability)
  • Travel as required

Qualifications:

  • 4-7 years of relevant industry experience (specifically, professional/HCP promotion experience)
  • Skillset is inclusive of but not limited to staff and project leadership, analytic and planning abilities, ability to organize workload and workflow, presentation/selling skills, written communication skills, and adherence to and enforcement of agency processes
  • Experience developing tactical initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Financial management experience
  • Digital project management experience

VP, Account Group Supervisor

The Vice President, Account Group Supervisor is responsible for overall management and growth of assigned business including allocation of resources and financial control of brand budgets. The VP/AGS oversees subordinates on strategic and tactical development and the internal planning process. Represents the agency’s senior management on a day-today basis. Established Account lead and viewed on team as a strategic thinker, liaison between Client and Agency departments, and proactive problem solver.

About the job:

  • Client relationship management. Forging strong relationships with brand team middle management. Key brand team liaison to the agency
  • Mentoring and managing direct reports. Take the time to help provide guidance and constructive feedback to the people who report directly to you
  • Develop a strong scientific knowledge of disease state, your brand, and the competitive set. Become an expert and “go to source” for all brand-specific and competitive information
  • Direct and interact with all agency brand team members to ensure accurate information exchange and smooth workflow across all stages of a project
  • Identify organic growth opportunities and work with limited management supervision to bring them to fruition; expected to grow inline business year over year
  • Participate or lead new business pitches
  • Travel as required

About you:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Master’s degree in business or science a plus

Professional Experience

  • 10 years of relevant industry experience (specifically, patient promotion experience)
  • Proven track record of execution and results
  • Extensive prior experience establishing and managing relationships with key customers and other important stakeholders

VP, Medical Strategy Director

The Vice President, Medical Strategy Director is a leadership role within the department of medical strategy/strategic planning. The VP, MSD will be responsible for partnering with internal core team members and client-side medical directors to help shape the medical strategy of the brand and ensure medical accuracy with all creative content generated by the agency. The VP, MSD will lead medically related client interactions across multiple pieces of business, develop and facilitate client-facing workshops, and contribute to new business opportunities. The VP, MSD will report into an SVP-level medical strategy director and be responsible for managing multiple brands, while also managing junior team members.

About the job:

  • Lead medically related client interactions and discussions across multiple pieces of business
  • Build and establish rapport with client and manage medically related client meetings
  • Develop and facilitate proprietary agency offerings, including client-facing workshops and strategic planning exercises
  • Partner with strategic planners, copywriters, and client-side medical directors to help shape the medical strategy of the brand and ensure medical accuracy with all creative content generated by the agency
  • Proactively and proficiently provide strategic medical recommendations based on the changing market to enhance brand communications
  • Critically review content developed by creative directors, strategic planners, and other staff for scientific accuracy, fair balance, and brand strategy alignment
  • Conduct ongoing competitive intelligence/literature reviews relevant to the brand and therapeutic category and craft marketing implications/points of view for the brand to the internal/client team as needed
  • Identify, recruit, and schedule key opinion/thought leaders for primary market research/in-depth interviews
  • Develop discussion guides and other market research stimuli (as applicable) for primary market research/in-depth interviews with key opinion/thought leaders
  • 15%-20% travel, including international travel to Europe

About you:

Education

  • Doctoral degree (PharmD, PhD, or MD)

Professional Experience

  • 8-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical-related field, healthcare advertising, or a combination of healthcare advertising and promotional medical education or a combination of clinical or laboratory experience plus healthcare advertising
  • Ability to present clinical data in a clear, concise, storytelling manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills
  • Specific experience in the following is a plus: respiratory, rare disease, hematology/oncology
  • Proven track record of execution and results

VP, Strategic Planning Director

A strategic planning director is a leadership role within the department of strategic planning and reports into the SVP. As strategic leaders, they must be the valued partners of both account and creative leadership and be the highly visible face of strategy on a client’s business. A VP is expected to be an inspirational thinker, a deft collaborator, and a positive leader. This role may manage direct reports. The Planning Director is on 2 to 4 pieces of business and is expected to handle multiple work streams at a time while inspiring and codifying the big idea for each client.

Education

  • BA or equivalent, Graduate degree in sciences (PharmD, PhD) or professional degree (RN, MPH, MBA) preferred

Professional Experience

  • 5-7+ years of experience overall with the majority being in healthcare marketing, market research, or advertising
  • The presence to capture and hold a room (adept storyteller and stellar communication skills)
  • The ability to know a great idea when they see it, and to know when and how to improve it
  • A clear understanding of the “what”, “when”, “why”, and “how” of the other strategic disciplines, and the drive and the developing skills to orchestrate their application correctly for the good of the idea
  • A clear comfort level with using data as a tool for creative inspiration
